Making Santa's cookies

I finally downloaded a few pictures from my other camera so here are a few of Madison making her cookies for Santa.

You know you were born in the south when...

your first taste of food (that isn't rice cereal) is mustard greens. ;) I don't think Taylor is a fan but I think Payton kind of enjoyed them.

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus

We had a wonderful Christmas and I was having such a good time watching Madison open presents that it completely slipped my mind to take some pictures of her opening them. I did take a couple of the huge mess. ;) As Madison opened each gift she had to take some time to play with each toy. It was nice to know she was excited about each one. I don't think Taylor of Payton were quite aware of what was going on but they did have fun playing with the toys they were handed. On top of it being a wonderful Christmas day we also had a bit of snow again. It fell the same as it did a few weeks ago but it was still exciting to see. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and as Madison says each time Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus.

Christmas Eve

Madison was very excited about it being Christmas Eve and knowing that Santa was coming that night. She had to make sure the cookies and milk were placed just right so that Santa could find them.

Madison had a lot of fun decorating the cookies for Santa...although like every year she wanted to eat them immediately after making them. These actually made it through the evening without a test bite from Madison. I am sure Santa was pleased to get some cookies that hadn't already been sampled.

Happy 5 Month Birthday

Taylor and Payton are 5 months old today! They are growing so much and at this point it is hard to remember how small they really were when they were born. We are having so much fun because they have discovered how fun some toys can be. There is one in particular that they both love and they actually fight over. It is fun to watch but a little sad when one starts crying because it gets snatched away. I guess they are learning to share at a very early age. Madison is so sweet because if I am busy (feeding one of them) and one starts crying she will go and get the toy and give it to them so they will stop crying. She is such a good big sister. Happy 5 months to Taylor and Payton.

Christmas cupcakes

Just wanted to share the cute Christmas cupcakes I made for Danny's office party this week. Hope all of his co-workers love them because they were a lot of fun to make!

Disney On Ice

This past Saturday we were able to go see Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes. Poor Madison wasn't feeling well but she did have a wonderful time. She loved seeing all the beautiful princesses. On top of that her cousins came up to see the show as well and Madison always loves the chance to see/play with them. Here are a few photos of the show - I know the photos are so good you will feel like you were right there too. ;)

It snowed! ;)

It snowed! Only for about 15 minutes on Wednesday but Madison was VERY excited!!! I was feeding Taylor and Madison came running up from behind screaming SNOW!! I turned around to look out the window and she was right. The flakes were pretty big in size but it didn't last long and obviously it was too warm for it to stick...but fun none the less. Maybe hard to see in the picture.

Fun play time

Taylor and Payton are finally getting old enough for some new toys...or should I say just toys period. In other words something that isn't a rattle. ;) I don't think they were 100% sure what to do. I think they enjoyed just being upright the most! ;)

First taste of food

This past Saturday Taylor and Payton finally had their first bites of food. Yummy rice cereal. I don't think either were a big fan at first bite and I still the Payton is not a big fan...since she keeps making a face of disgust when I put the food in her mouth. Taylor on the other hand is doing great and I think she is ready to move on to bigger and better tasting food. ;) Madison saw all the fun we were having so being the good big sister that she is...she had to get in on the action.

Christmas tree is up

The Christmas tree is up and Madison loves it. She had such a blast helping with ornaments and she thinks all of them are so pretty. It was so sweet how she would gasp when we would bring one out and exclaim so pretty. If someone needs to be reminded of the joys of the season decorate for Christmas with a 2 year old. ;)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was great because we got to extend Thanksgiving for a few days. We first had Thanksgiving at my parent's house and then the next day we headed down to visit Danny's family. It was nice being able to see everyone. 4 month checkup

So I know this is a little late...but things have been a bit busy! The girls had their 4 month checkup the first part of Thanksgiving week. Things went really well...except for the shot part...but when is that ever fun! ;) Both girls are growing great. Payton is 13 lbs and Taylor is 14 lbs. They are starting to separate a little more in height so should be interesting as they get older to see if Payton catches up. Madison was such a good girl while we were there that she walked away with a sticker and a sucker...doesn't necessarily seem fair for the ones that had to get the shots. ;) LOL
