Madison was a good girl this year and received a lot of toys from Santa and from family.

She had such a fun day and didn't want it to end.

Madison has learned to kick a ball...so in our house she gets to practice a lot. We think she will be a great soccer player - just like her dad.

Crawling is just around the corner!! Madison has started pulling herself and now that she knows she can do it...she is all over the place. She has also been waving for a little over a week now. I will try and post a video of that soon.

I put Madison down for a nap this afternoon and after about 45 minutes I heard her playing which is not unusual. That means she is ready to get up so I went in to get her and this is what I saw...

She was sitting up in her crib and she did it all by herself. What a big girl!

Madison isn't crawling yet but she does get around quickly in her own way. I think she was trying to play hide and seek because she was really trying to scoot under the chair.

Happy 7 Month Birthday!

Happy 7 month birthday. Madison greeted the morning 7 months old and with 2.5 inches of snow on the ground. We went out to play a little this morning and she made a snow angel. She really enjoyed feeling the cold air on her tongue.

Madison got to sit on Santa's lap today. She loved his beard and kept tugging on it most of the time. It was really sweet and he was a good sport. She told him she wanted a lot of toys....don't know if there will be room in his sleigh for any other toys for other kids. :)

The first bit of snow has arrived.

We have had a few days of snow flurries but today the snow is a bit heavier. It is actually starting to stick. The snow season has started. Now we just have to wait for the first really big one so Madison can build her first snowman.

Madison is learning how to clap. She doesn't quite open her hands yet so she is clapping with her fist somewhat closed. She loves to clap holding toys because that makes the same sound that Mommy's and Daddy's hands make. The video is not long because she sees the camera.

Trick-or-Treat

Happy Halloween!

Madison went trick-or-treating tonight for the first time. We went to a friend's house and Madison got three pieces of candy. Madison was Franklin the Turtle for Halloween...it is a little hard to tell from the photo.

We went to get our pumpkin and while we were out we had snow flurries. It was very cold and Madison was a good sport. Her eyes and poor face got so red because the wind was really strong. We made it a very quick trip!

Finally at home and warm Madison help to carve her first pumpkin. Now she is ready to get dressed up and go trick or treating. :)

Look how much I have grown!

It is hard to believe that half a year has already gone by - it happened so fast. Madison is a growing girl and full of personality. Happy Birthday!!!

6 month doctor visit

Today was Madison's 6 month doctor visit. She did really well and as you can see she had to get 4 shots today. Madison was a big girl and handled it all really well. The doctor was very impressed with how well Madison was sitting (the doctor kind of nudged her and she kept her balance). Madison is now 17 pounds and 7 ounces and is 27 inches long. She is a growing girl and right on target based on her birth weight and length!

Madison's first trip to the country and zoo.

On Friday Danny had a work party out in Cambridge, WI at a co-worker’s house. It was a lot of fun taking Madison out to see the corn field. Madison had fun meeting a lot of new people but the most fun she had was seeing the big dog run around.

On Sunday we went to the local zoo. This was Madison’s first time seeing other animals besides cats and dogs. I think she really liked the giraffes. She got very excited watching them and had a huge smile on her face. She also liked goofing off and posing as a polar bear. ;)

Is Madison like her Daddy?

Today was Madison’s second day trying carrots. While I was feeding her she would lick and suck her bib between bites. So I figure....

1. She is like her Daddy by being neat and making sure her bib stays clean.

or

2. She is like her Daddy and REALLY loves carrots.

Based on the picture...I think she really likes carrots. So I guess Madison is like her Daddy! ;)

Happy 5 month Birthday!

It's been 5 months since Madison was born. It is so hard to believe! Time has gone by so fast and we have had so much fun. She is changing and growing everyday.

Madison has been eating solids for almost a month now and she is starting to really enjoy it and having a lot of fun with her food. She is opening her mouth wide to take the food which makes it much easier but she likes to feed herself by taking the spoon away from Mommy and Daddy.

As you can tell Madison is enjoying her feet...she is smacking away! At the end you can hear her making razberries (she thinks they are a lot of fun).

Just a note!

This week has been a fun week. Madison has found kisses funny which makes my heart smile. She also loves to play peek a boo games. She is so sweet when she looks at you and gives you a big grin and then turns her head into Daddy’s chest only to peek at you again with another big grin.

Madison is starting to experience her first of fall weather. The leaves have started to change and are falling and the air has a cool crispness to it that gets you ready for those hot chocolate nights!

Bath Time

Madison has really come to love bath time. She has been splashing and playing with her ducks and has a lot of fun. Today she was splashing and I mean splashing big time. She was slamming her arms and legs down and sending water everywhere. By the time I got the camera to start recording she had calmed down a lot but you can tell she was still having fun.

Madison's first taste of solid food.

This morning Madison had her first taste of solids. We made her rice cereal but she didn't eat very much. It was more for her to move the food around in her mouth and get use to the texture. She did a great job and it was a big step for our growing girl!

4-Month Check-Up

It's that time again. Madison's 4-month check-up and that also means that she had to get more shots. She did not like it of course but she was a champ! She is now 25 inches long and 15 pounds. She is our growing girl and the Doctor said that she looks and is doing great!

Happy 4 Month Birthday!

Happy Birthday Madison! Well the last few weeks have been very crazy for Miss Madison. She has done tons of traveling. She went on her first plane ride and did fantastic. We started our travels off in honor of Danny. He graduated on August 9th with his Ph.D. We are so proud of him. We then took a trip to Point Clear as we do every year in honor of our wedding anniversary. We finished our trip off with visits with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Great Grandparents and many more. Most importantly Madison finally got to meet her brand new cousin Addie. She was so glad to be there to welcome Miss Addie into the world and can’t wait for her to get a little older so that she can share her toys! Madison finished the trip off by celebrating her 4 month birthday in a plane going home to see her Daddy.
