Vacation 2011

This past week has been very busy. Taylor and Payton had their well visit check up on Monday. It went well and we learned the girls are on opposite ends of the growth chart...but nothing to worry about. Taylor had to get 3 shots in 3 different locations...no fun. Payton has to wait till next week to get hers because she had a fever. She actually has a sinus infection which has not been fun but we did get medicine. Over vacation it was obvious she didn't feel good but she was acting closer to her old self. As I just mentioned, we went on vacation the last part of the week. It rained a lot of the time which meant that sometimes the pool was closed. But it all went really well with all of us in one room and the girls were great on the 4 hour car ride both ways.

They even collected crabs (in the green bucket(above)) and snails (in Madison's hand(below)) for the moat.

I think Payton enjoyed the beach...Taylor I'm not so sure about...she had the same face almost the entire time while she was playing in the sand.

Taylor and Payton's 1st Birthday Party

Taylor and Payton had their birthday party this past Saturday to celebrate them turning 1. They had a great time and as you will be able to see from the photos they loved eating cake! ;) Thanks to all of the friends and family that came and celebrated with us.

Today Taylor and Payton turned one. So hard to believe. This year has really gone by so fast...don't know if it is partially because we can't remember the first few months or not. ;) They are such big girls. Taylor is walking and Payton has taken a step or two. They love to play with each other and especially Madison. They do a ton of talking and are getting really good at saying Mama and Dada. ;) We are really looking forward to what this next year holds as they really start moving and grooving. ;) Happy Birthday Taylor and Payton!!

The last two weeks

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. I haven't been able to post all the activities because we have been busy with other things. We have a big birthday coming up that we have been busy prepping for and I am also in the process of getting an Etsy store going. More will be posted about this along with a link at a later time. In the mean time here is what has been happening.

Two weeks ago Danny took all three girls for a visit with his parents and his sister's family. Madison had a lot of fun playing with her cousin Addie in their very large blowup water slide. I think Taylor and Payton enjoyed it too but they I believe just played in the pool area. Taylor and Payton loved the dogs...Taylor especially. Here are a couple of videos that Danny took on his phone and texted to me so they may not be large enough to see.

While they were busy having fun and enjoying playing in the water I stayed home and completed my first 1/2 marathon.

Then last weekend we had fun celebrating the 4th. We had a very low key weekend. We stayed home and the most we saw of fireworks were the ones that we saw on tv.

We did have a couple of sick kiddos in the middle of all our two weeks - which is always no fun but glad everyone is better for the most part. (Still have a few runny noses) That is a brief summary of our last couple of weeks. We really took it easy this past weekend and did not do much of anything but we did manage to take a video of Payton and Taylor playing.
